WinePlusApples School Year 2020

It’s 2020. That means that even Blogger is incapable of keeping up with its usual conveniences— like, making a post without HTML coding experience.

Luckily, I do have a bit of experience with that- Thanks to New Harmony High School and Sherry Underwood and Bob Harris. Just goes to show you that “homeschooling” can have some advantages....

(There are actually homeschool Co-ops in our area that are bigger than my entire Kindergarten to Senior High school which I graduated from many years ago. FYI: I graduated with 17 other seniors in 2001.)

But, let’s talk about these amazing babes and our homeschool year— which, technically, began in June.

Cue September school photos!!

After all...

It’s 2020, people.

These kiddos are all about the laughs...

We have so much fun during these shoots. It’s become a blessed tradition for us.

Also, Luc is always barefoot and Brynn requires either socks or shoes on all surfaces...

It’s just how we roll.

Also, let’s talk about how they wear the same size.

Shirts. Shorts. Shoes.

3 years does very little for these two in terms of growing.

Our lighting was constantly changing, because it’s September in Florida—- and also because of Hurricane Sally still kicking up some crazy wind and weather right off of our coast.

We want to send our prayers to all of those being affected in the Pensacola area right now— even when these crazy babes cannot be contained.

We raided Daddy’s office during his lunch break for our photo shoot. He was such a trooper, as always.

First up this year is our Brynnie.

In a matter of weeks, Brynn will be double digits. 10. I don’t even know how that is possible, but our little butterfly is becoming such a beautiful, faithful, and responsible young lady. We could not be more proud of her and her incredible heart.

She loves reading novel series, crafting and art, playing piano (and composing her own pieces— from her own ear), doing science experiments (usually the kind that explode), and serving her family.

We could not be more proud of our incredible girl.

Next up.... The Luc.

It’s not even fair. He is his father’s son.

Utter trauma.
He thought that he messed up his hair.

Mr. Sulky...
He’s only six.
Lord, help me.

Lucas is officially in first grade. He will turn seven in November.

He loves dinosaurs, Jurassic World (not to be mistaken with Jurassic Park- there's a "difference"), Harry Potter, leading prayers, the Jonas Brothers (and music, in general)…. But, his greatest love these days is BIRDS. He can identify almost any bird species in sight. He will also probably tell you about it's eating habits, migratory habits, and it's general geographic preference. His favorite book is Peterson's Field Guide to Birds. We have multiple editions.

This boy is the very definition of wild & free. We are so proud of his very sweet heart. He always wants to snuggle and serve his mama and his sister... And Lily too, but we all know how she feels about people.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2020 school year!!
